Monday, May 8 (week 16 / day 106) Budoia to Brixen, Italy

One Last Breakfast
Being served breakfast doesn't get old...

your choice of jam with yogurt
our hosts Laura & Angelo
packing up in the master bedroom

Into The Dolomites
This is what I've been waiting for. Mountains. The inversion fog down on the coastal plain was concerning at first. To come all this way & not be able to see the mountains. As we ascended into the heights of the Italian Alps, The Dolomites, our fears were lifted. It was a bit cloudy but the views were there, the lush green surrounded us & the alpine villages were gorgeous...

cloudy skies on our first day in the Dolomites
public water access point
every village has a cute little church
Valle di Cadore with Carley on the right
Sydney in tune with nature
every turn seemed to have another good mountain shot
Lake Misurina
we found a great snow slide above the lake
penguin-style sliding

Carley in her easiest dry outfit

repacking the van
